Sangha Communities or communes

Post by buddhasmilingus »

Does anyone have information regarding Sangha communities or communes in the Western United States? Looking to join like minded Dhamma community and practitioners.

Thank you...and may you all be well.

Not a commune, but a good monastic community with some local lay supporters is Bhavana Society, led by Bhante Gunaratana, in West Virginia, just a few miles West of the Virginia border. It is in a nicely forested area and they have periodical retreats for lay people.
