I'm looking for the original Pali symbols for many different key words. Specifically Sila, Samadhi, and Panna. Next is probably Anicca, Dukkha, Anatta. Again I am looking for the original Pali (or sanskrit) image. I 'm not sure where else to post this but this is as good a place as any. _/\_ :buddha2:

Hi Ben,

The earliest extant Pali inscriptions have been written in Brahmi alphabet.

You can find some of the key words at the website:

There are many different scripts used for Pāli. Very few will know Brahmi script.

What is the purpose?

Some scripts may be more appropriate than others — depending on the intended use, and country of use.

Currently, for pali what's most common is to use devanagari.

AFAIK, it was an oral tradition at first.
