Suchness and Thusness - Dhamma Wheel
A Buddhist discussion forum on the Dhamma of the Theravāda
It is an expression for the sphere of unbounded equanimity, although there may be perception there is no determining perception of anything as this or that, so feeling has ceased too. May be transcribed as "Whatever there is or is not."
My next question is, can an unenlightened being experience suchness to the fullest form?
There is no degree of "suchness" and thus the question of "fullest form" does not apply.
Can you experience suchness ? Yes. These moments are often brief and we seldom recognise it as such. In order to recognise the state of "suchness" we need to develop a "knack" to be in such a state. In this regard an understanding of how the 5 skandha come together to shape and determine our reality would be extremely useful.
