Then there always Fecesbook. Twitter is a paradoy in and of itself. The gawdawful crap people write on it is really appalling. Actually, I rather like YouTube.cooran wrote:Hello all,

Re: Parody website
I barely get facebook.
Twitter - just seems to be for twits.
Twitter - just seems to be for twits.
“No lists of things to be done. The day providential to itself. The hour. There is no later. This is later. All things of grace and beauty such that one holds them to one's heart have a common provenance in pain. Their birth in grief and ashes.”

Re: Parody website
Just trying to distinguish between the medium and the message here:
YouTube is capable of carrying good, interesting and/or useful content and not biased against it.
Facebook is designed primarily for social content and it is full of trivia with no value other than social bonding.
Twitter is, by virtue (if that's the right word) of its design, almost incapable of anything other than ephemeral trivia.
Life is too short to waste on mental junk-food.

Yes, I heard. How much of a role - its hard to quantify. However, any role it did play is a very good thing and a departure from the banality of its usual usage.
