Re: Melbourne Dhamma Wheel lunch - Sun Dec 13th

Greetings,

Another alternative to lunch is...

Ajahn Sumedho visits Melbourne in mid December
Public talk sponsored by the BSV will be held on Wednesday 16th December 2009, 7.30pm at the Monash Religious Centre, Clayton Campus

I think Pilgrim is still around for that.

Great idea. I'm ok with either of those dates. Was planning to go see Ajahn Sumedho anyway.

Gee, why don't you all just hop a ferry across the pond and come visit me? I'll make tea. You could pick up some macadamia nuts on the way. :D

I thought about it, but can't manage to come down from Brissie this time.

Can you all give an update on Ajahn Sumedho's talk - and hopefully any thoughts he might have about the WAM meeting in Thailand.

Greetings,

I don't think I'll be going, because it's going to be too darn hot, especially coming straight from work and relying on public transport etc.

The (virtually) one day in the town it's over 25 of late, and it's going to be 39'C.

I'm hoping to come and hope that it's still going ahead. The Facilities people at Monash rang me yesterday to ask if the talk was happening (!)? I have no idea why they rang me except that I've booked the religious centre a couple of times recently?

I referred them to the BSV and said that this is a VIP and there will be hundreds of people converging on Monash for the talk.

They are really organized as you can tell. I will call them tomorrow to check and post if there is a reason to worry.

Update: finally spoke to the person in charge at Monash and as far as they are concerned it is going ahead as planned. Doors open at 7:30 and the talk starts at 8pm.
