A place to put photos and reports of any meetings you may have had with other Dhamma Wheel members. I will start with some of the ones we have photos for (that I know of). If you have photos of the others, please place them here.

A nice topic!

Perhaps I can make the suggestion to get the members permission before posting their images?

I recently witnessed great unhappiness of a member in another forum, when somebody posted photos of her without her permission.

Good uggestion Anna
Ed already had my permission but I think from now on we should only post photos of other members only after getting their permission.

On the subject of 'meetings', in the days before DhammaWheel, I had met Paul about 3 years ago in Ballarat then again about 18 months ago at my (then) home in Creswick. I know there's a photo of us both at the first meeting in Ballarat but not sure whether we took any photos at Creswick. I also met Chris in Melbourne about two years ago at a teaching given by the Dalai Lama. I've got a photo of that meeting but its on an old computer.
Kind regards

Ben

Yes, I agree, and of course Ed talked to me about this too...

Good idea to get permissions, even though in my personal view if something is on the internet, you pretty much have given up any anonymity or privacy and shouldn't complain much if you see your photo somewhere, unless it is being used inappropriately.

I only used photos here that were already in other threads here at Dhamma Wheel, except for one off of facebook and I did get permission to post that one.

This morning my wife and I had the honor of meeting Ayya Phalañani. She is visiting the U.S. from Thailand and a member of Dhamma Wheel here too. So here is a photo of the meeting of 3 Dhamma Wheel members:

No problems effort! I'm sometimes serious and at other times - not.
When I was a mod at e-sangha I used a photo of myself as an avatar. It was taken with my cell phone and because of the lighting and because I wasn't smiling - it was quite intimidating to some people. I remember when Ed (Zavk) came over that night. It was a Sunday night and I had just finished work. It was full-on at work and I think I was just tired but relaxed.

Hey David
Lovely photo!
