Many a fond and hazy memories to go along with this tune.

Creative and good social commentary making good use of the melody from the original song. Euphonically, I prefer the original—more bite and energy with the prominent bassline and great timing of its drop.

Yes indeed SDC, it is spiritual in its own way, perhaps it takes us on a pre-conditioned journey of our imagination, but then as we go through life are own stories of the journey attach to the music. hazy are the past lives! :namaste:

Brian Longbeck played for my dad in his room in rehab at the hospital Thursday night, but Dad was able to be let out for a few hours to attend an induction of his childhood friend Joe Maphis into a regional performing arts hall of fame.

These two performed this while there. They were fabulous! The one on the right is Merle Travis's son.

Who Brian copied to get his style. Sorry about the quality. The redhead beside Joe is his wife Rose Lee. In her 90's, she sang the second song with her son Jody Maphis tonight! It was a wonderful night and my dad loved it!

Fallen Angels by Bob Dylan
“No lists of things to be done. The day providential to itself. The hour. There is no later. This is later. All things of grace and beauty such that one holds them to one's heart have a common provenance in pain. Their birth in grief and ashes.”
- Cormac McCarthy, The Road

Learn this from the waters:
in mountain clefts and chasms,
loud gush the streamlets,
but great rivers flow silently.
- Sutta Nipata 3.725

My interest in India culture has reemerged, so I have been listening to a lot of Ravi Shankar recently! The communion between he and his daughter, Anoushka; also a sitar player, is palpable in their music. This performance is phenomenal.
