How to quote/paste links...

Post by Fede »

Let me explain myself:
On a lot of forums, there is a globe with a link on it. You click on it, paste the link, then transfer it to your post, and use a word as part of your post text, to indicate you're referring to a link; by clicking the word people get taken to the relevant link....

I don't know how to do that here.

Can someone talk me through it, technical-fudgewit, doofus-style, please?

Thank you....

Greetings Fede,

Yes, it can be done.

Code: Select all

SN 56.31: Simsapa Sutta
results in...

SN 56.31: Simsapa Sutta

Gotcha thanks.....
But I had to insert the '=' symbol after initial "URL"....... and the square bracket at the end of the link, manually.
Is this normal, or is it the way it has to be done, or is there a shortcut?

Sorry to be vague..... :rolleye:

Greetings Fede,

I don't know of an 'automated' way to do it, but if you do find one, please let us know. I tend to simply present links like this now...

Google Saffron
http://www.google.com/coop/cse?cx=00545 ... cbjbznmwso" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

... even though I used to always do them the way you're referring to.
