Is it possible to add the commands [center] [left] [right] to the forum so that one can format where a text or an image is located in a post? I would find it useful if one could align pictures or short stanzas like the the ones from the Dhammapada to the center. Not necessary, but a nice goodie though.

In principle

but, as you observe, it doesn't...
Since other things work, it may be a bug, rather than a setting:
