First of thanks for installing the Sila (conduct) forum, may it grow to a great sorce of references and advices from friends on the path. I am aware that it might seem to be very greedy, tiresome or invasive (don't worry its just a very perishable and shorttimely apperiance) that I knock another time in regard of Dana but I guess it was to much suggestions in one topic.
As most practicier here are naturally layman or still worldlings, Dana is a very importand aspect of the pratice and very required to make the first steps torward the eightfold path. Sadly Dana is really not good understood broadly and even through teachers wrongly taught.
To learn how to make Dana (as a effective meritious action) is not that easy at one might think and not understanding it well, it can even lead to much frustration and suffereing. For one self as well as for others.
As a very importand step, long before one is even able to meditate, Dana requires much understanding.
Maybe it is possible to install such a subforum, not so much thought as a pool of specific Dana suggessions but a place where we could share experianses and explainations in regard of Dana.
Just that! *smile*
