Hello nice to meet you...

Post by greenthumb »

Hello, long time vipassana (early 90s) meditator from Oregon, love gardening, kids, dogs, chickens and watching nature do her thing. It's raining and chilly here in Oregon the 5th of November 2013. Gardens are all tucked in, produce is preserved and stored, paintings are coming along, dogs asleep under my chair here in my kitchen. It would be nice to have some Dhamma chats with like minded folk once in awhile. I like just about any Dhamma topic so expect me to popup just about anywhere.

Greetings Greenthumb and welcome to Dhammawheel
It's nice to meet another long term student of SN Goenka.
With metta,
Ben

Well met, greenthumb.

I hope you are well and enjoying that very comfortable scene you have painted for us in words. :anjali:

Welcome!

:anjali:
Liberation is the inevitable fruit of the path and is bound to blossom forth when there is steady and persistent practice. The only requirements for reaching the final goal are two: to start and to continue. If these requirements are met there is no doubt the goal will be attained. This is the Dhamma, the undeviating law.

@Ben, Nice to meet a fellow Goenka Student! @Hickersonia, I wish it was as easy to use words as it is as the use of paint and brush for me. Language both spoken and written have not been easy for me, I am totally sight oriented and an introvert to boot, I am well suited for meditation and painting. @David N. Snyder, @bodom, Thank you, and thank you all for the kind greetings.
