Hello everyone!
Needless to say that this is my first postage at DhammaWheel.Com, but I've been here as a visitor many, many times and I've always been benefited. I thank everybody for sharing their knowledge.
Here in Brazil, we have a huge Japanese community and for that reason the Mahayana Buddhism is more common among us. Our Theravada community is way smaller. Currently, as far as I know, there are only two Brazilian monks in Southern Asia, more precisely in Thailand, and recently other two Brazilians are also living there, but as anagarikas, obviously. That's what I know and if everything goes well I'll be the next one to walk through this path.
I prefer to allow things to happen before providing you with any further details. For now, I want to express my thanks again, because this place has been a great source of information about monastic life and Theravada Buddhism in general. I wish I had the opportunity to contribute here in the future.
That's all folks! Best wishes!
