Hello From Singapore

Hi all,
My name is Jason, and I'm happy to be joining this forum to get to know like-minded, spiritually inclined people like you guys and girls.
It's funny. I don't call myself a buddhist, but some of my greatest inspirations come from learning from masters like Ajahn Mahaboowa and Ajahn Mun. In terms of spiritual practices, I try to follow closely to what they teach. In fact, The Path To Arahantship by Ajahn Mahaboowa has been my guide in life for many years till this day.
Also, Ajahn Chah's Food For The Heart is never far from my side.
I feel life is wonderful for giving us the opportunity to practice and live by the dharma everyday, and that makes me happy and contented. And on doing buddhist practices throughout the years, I've had realizations and experiences that made me realize there's so much more to life than 'the ways of the world' -- how most people choose to live their lives.
The deeper my understanding, the more I realize how living like most people in society will never ever make sense to me... being career-minded, wanting to own everything, wanting to be well-liked, highly looked upon, famous etc. All the while not being aware that death is approaching and that we can't take any of these things with us when the time comes.
What's seen cannot be unseen!
Today, I sometimes reflect and wonder life would have been like without buddhism. Well, who knows.
