LonesomeYoghurt's last visit was on the 10th of February, so we may be waiting a while.

I get itchy when I wait.

Re: Eczema

My eczema was caused by a range of food allergies. By going on an elimination diet I was able to determine which foods were responsible and could then exclude them from my diet. My eczema went from chronic (always present) to very occasional and mild, even without the use of hydrocortisone cream. Us...

Re: Is the Buddhasasana really in decline?

What... it's ok for Stephen to ask questions which probably have little or no relevance whatsoever to his practice - but it's not ok to ask him how that's working for him? Is that your point...? Really, I'm asking.... Is this line of inquiry relevant to your practice, or am I just wasting your time...

Re: I am a "buddha"

The original buddha knew what he was and so did every buddha before him and since. Jesus knew what he was and so did every Jesus before and since. Socrates knew what he was and so did every Socrates before and since. Free men know they are free. Only a buddha can talk about buddhism, the rest talk ...

Re: Long threads

Few would disagree that the main function of a discussion forum is discussion. Even if the answers to a particular question or line of inquiry already exist buried in an archived thread, it seems unfair to expect any member, new or old, to be satisfied with reading through the past discussions of of...

Re: Getting Intoxicated Without Alcohol

Children have been getting "drunk" for decades (centuries, millennia?) by spinning around in a standing position until they get dizzy and fall over. Like true drunkenness the sensation can be quite euphoric and will give way to nausea if done to excess. Would doing this break the fifth pre...

Re: Anapanasati actually inducing sleep...!

I always become sleepy when I practice in the early afternoon, so I nap beforehand. Mornings and evenings are fine.

Increasing one's effort can help to stave off sleepiness, as can meditating in bright surroundings.
