Re: Let's See: How It Hard To Let People Get In "Self" Word Of Diṭṭhi And Māna

Another question I will come to answer, next time. I have to go to work. -------------------- Paṭṭhāna is relationship (causes and effects) of elementary particles. Mahāsatipaṭṭhānasutta have summary about causes and effects, in every ending of it's 21 chapters. Samudayavayadhammānupassī viharati (t...

Wisdom, access insight causes and effects, is the answer.

see: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=28981

The picture in that topic, you will see the importance of causes and effects (you can read plain text inside that topic also).

Re: Patisambhidamagga

There is no completely translation of patisambhidamagga. It is a large book. Ñāṇamoli's Path of Discrimination is a complete translation. It's the commentary (Saddhammappakāsinī) and (de facto) sub-commentary (Paṭisambhidāmaggagaṇṭhipadatthavaṇṇanā) that have not yet been translated. However, visud...

Re: Patisambhidamagga

.... Huh? We have our rules, to memorize tipitaka, that the reader never pay their attention on. I mentioned an historical succession of major canonical and commentarial texts that, arguably, attempt comprehensive overviews along the trajectory of the post- suttanta tradition -- adding-in the Vimut...

Re: Patisambhidamagga

My impression was that a sort of intermediate stage of development is found in the Vimuttimagga (ca. 1st-C CE, though only via a later Chinese translation) -- i.e. between the Patisambhidamagga (2nd-3rd-C BCE) and the Vissudhimagga (5th-C CE). The Abhidhammamathasangaha came another 6 or 7 centurie...

Re: Patisambhidamagga

I have read it, but it was many years ago. I agree with what Alex said. If I recall correctly, it reminded me a lot of the Abhidhamma and seemed to be similar to Abhidhammic writings. Sariputta and his students is the memorizers of abhidhamma. So It is nothing amazing. Sariputta is second only to b...

There is no completely translation of patisambhidamagga. It is a large book. However, visuddhimagga can be instead. But however again, I understand visuddhimagga after I have learned some part patisambhidamagga. Patisambhidamagga and nettipakarana will let you see tipitaka as it is. pali: http://www...

Re: Annihilation View - A New Interpretation.

You should specify "self" word more.

"Self" is named by sammaditthi, and micchaditthi (, without ditthi also).

Abhidhamma has clearly detail about this case. Because abhidhamma are books of vipassana.

Saddhā Included Disprovable Truth, So Kālāmasutta Excluded "Trust In (Real) Rationalist Teacher"

Saddhā Included Disprovable Truth, So Kālāmasutta Excluded "Trust In (Real) Rationalist Teacher". And trust, in kamma+vipāka (causes and effects), is used to prove "the teacher is rationalist". Because people maybe have not enough ability to prove someone, ability, that better th...

Professors have their long time experience. It make them quickly understand their students. So they can choose th...
