Re: Was the Buddha omniscient as to the future
Hi Minh-khong, How does this relate to Theravada, and are these corresponding texts or completely different? Both Mahayana and Theravada traditions have translations from the "commentaries" (the 3rd basket). I couldn't find an English version of this Pali sutta. 13. Apadana — Stories Biog...

Re: Was the Buddha omniscient as to the future
This is from Avadana sutra, I believe the Pali version is Apadana Sutta. "Thus it is told in the A p’o t’an na king (Avadānasūtra): The Buddha was in the Jetavana; towards evening (sāyāhnasamayam), he started out with Śāriputra walking behind him. At that moment a hawk (śyena) was chasing a pig...

Re: Can you answer these questions?
... If Buddha was capable of mentioning very complex things like, 'Abidhamma', then why not just mention the starting and end point of the world, kamma, mind and buddha philosophies, and let the listener decide what to learn and what not to learn? Eventhough someone might say these things are irrel...

Re: Something From Nothing
....since scientists have alway conceived of empty space as being...well...EMPTY...and by empty they meant that there was nothing at all there of any kind....then for a particle to emerge from this nothingness of the present view of empty space this means that something came out of nothing. Now it ...

Re: 2600-year old buddhist monastery unearthed in afghanistan
A little googling shows that the first news about this was around Nov-2010. It's hard to believe there was no confirmation nor deny on the age of those artifacts from archeologists.
