Re: MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT: Forthcoming Changes to the DW Forums
Greetings Lyndon, That's nice. Maybe you should have thought about that before you set about incessantly and intolerantly trolling people who disagree with you for years on end, and helping in that respect to push our hand. Staff have decided we'd rather participate in a more focused Theravāda Budd...

Re: MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT: Forthcoming Changes to the DW Forums
Seems like you're trying to deny that Buddhists are human, and only think about Dhamma, it seems a wide ranging open forum would attract new viewers more than a highly technical Dhamma only format, I think you''ve made a big mistake.

Re: MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT: Forthcoming Changes to the DW Forums
All I know is what I see on the forum, and some moderators don't even stick to the TOS the rest of us have to follow IMHO The personal attacks have to stop in my opinion, stick to critiquing what the poster has to say, and leave the personal comments to yourself.

Re: MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT: Forthcoming Changes to the DW Forums
It seems our moderators have been blind to the bias and negativity in their own camp, and only see it in the opposition.

Re: MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT: Forthcoming Changes to the DW Forums
From a dhammic perspective we can easily see through different political agendas by which ones promote compassion for all beings, vs which ones promote compassion primarily for rich oligarchs, its not possible to understand the dhamma and support policies like our current President IMHO

Re: MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT: Forthcoming Changes to the DW Forums
It would seem that indeed the moderators can't accept criticism of their political ideas. The poll should never have included people who opt out of the news, current events forum, so I guess the long running global warming thread is another casualty of this policy.

Re: Member Poll on "News, Current Events & Politics" at DW
I hardly see how people that never use the news section should have equal say on whether it exists or not.

So you're in the greed is good camp, because there really isn't a way to become uber rich without being greedy.

Re: Greed is an antidote to poverty .
If I had a dime for every time I'd heard a conservative blame the poor for their own problems, I'd have a sizable sum, Ben Carson is a good example of this BS, Paul Ryan, the list goes on and on. If someone claims they never heard it they're probably a Conservative stretching the truth.

Re: Greed is an antidote to poverty .
Relatively rich or well off people love to blame the poor for all their problems, its really a lot of BS. I suppose it's possible that there might be a few who do that, but I've never seen that. The well off people I know never blame the poor and have much compassion for them. Which problems of the...

Re: Prediabetes
No, but my weight gain is caused by medication I have to take effecting my metabolism, there's not much I can do about that, you don't have to lose weight to not get diabetes, diet change can be enough.
