Nimmavikasa Devas : Devas Delighting in Evolution

There are none of these… but, there exist the Nimmanarati Devas – Devas delighting in Creation. (1) These Devas are beyond our normal means of human perception, they can change their appearance and they delight in their own creations. They can create by thought, any form in any color. (2) My questio...

Re: Buddha and the Supreme Creator God

Why is it that people try so hard to find a god notion in the teachings of the Buddha? I think that the opposite is true. Especially in our times, most people try to detour the notion of a creator God. Science apart from all its positive sides has created the human that thinks he will be able to ex...

Re: Buddha and the Supreme Creator God

It seems that whenever Buddha referenced the notion of a creator God, he was using the word Brahma Not always. He also uses the more general term ishvara/issara. And keep in mind that "a God that belongs to one of the realms and thus a subset of the whole universe" is a Buddhist redefinin...

Re: Buddha and the Supreme Creator God

Now, please prove to me that the great Noob does not exist. Isn't it only reasonable that he does exist? I mean? The suns out every morning without fail... You cannot prove non-existence. (only possible in a closed and finite system) We have a winner! Then you can see why some people have a hard ti...

which is a God that belongs to one of the realms and thus a subset of the whole universe.

Do you know of a reference where Buddha talks even hypothetically of a God that has created all the realms?

Re: Buddha and the Supreme Creator God

Amazed, not exactly. Here's an interesting take on it: http://sandwalk.blogspot.fr/2014/08/another-stupid-prediction-by.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; The amount of hatred and ridicule from the Professor makes you wonder. Anyway, if you are interested, below is the or...

Re: Buddha and the Supreme Creator God

on the basis of an argument from incredulity. The criticism does apply; you simply don't want it to apply. I have said that this was my suggestion and my belief. The argument from incredulity does not apply because I have not presented it as proof, the reason being, I cannot. The odds though are al...

Re: Buddha and the Supreme Creator God

Argument from incredulity (since you seem to have missed it the first time...) I have not presented my suggestion as proof, so it does not apply. As for the multiple codon coding its a safeguard against codon mutation. But you do know that this is one possible explanation out of many. Because, how ...

Re: Buddha and the Supreme Creator God

Lostitude, as I said before I don't want to debate any of my suggestions. This is a very touchy subject and it can very easily go south with no substantial reason... I replied because I wanted to clear my position on the notion of God as the creator which by no means follows from the realization tha...

Re: Buddha and the Supreme Creator God

Although my initial question was whether Buddha denied the existence of the supreme creator (which it turns out that he did not since he was talking about Brahma and Brahma is a god in one of the realms), I did not say that God created the cell. I said that "something" did. I do not know w...

Re: Buddha and the Supreme Creator God

These basic structures are less complex than other structures, like the eye. They are not. The eye and all other macro structures you see are the result of the complexity of the single cell. The complexity of the single cell is simply mind boggling. Everything you have discussed is the result of Ev...

Re: Buddha and the Supreme Creator God

False. Sigh. But let's see your citation anyway. I don't want to debate the subject but here are some points you can have a look at. DNA is a database molecule encoded in base4. Our current computer systems are base2. Information in the molecule has start and stop bits, its nested like in files and...

Re: Buddha and the Supreme Creator God

Ok, although we are working with an assumption. In our human realm, our bodies are a real mystery. The pinnacle of the law of cause an effect in our world is science. Maybe you are already aware, but recent discoveries in molecular biology unravel a microcosm in each cell that points to a creator be...

Re: Buddha and the Supreme Creator God

Assuming that Brahma was considered the same as the Almighty creator,
then the Buddha denied the existence of such a creator, correct?

(Did Brahma thought that he created all other realms as well ?)
